These look very interesting ,,i dont like the Kelvonator head stock , its a bit big and ugly to me , and its gona add to the bass being neck heavy , but having looked closer it does look like "K" part is just plastic and will be easy to take off,,also i have noticed that the bridge is different on cherry sunbust than the other 2 , which is odd??
So do we know where these are going to be made ???
ALSO i had an origonal Kay bass for a while and getting Flatwound strings ( i only like to play flatwounds) to fit is all most impossible ,,,i think i had to use 2 sets in the end and had to tune and E string to an A ,,,but when i did the sound had such a "push" to it , it was worth it.

These are really cool. How about some info on the new Harmony re-issue bass. I saw one for sale from Elderly Music. Have you tried one out? They remind me of the bass Muff Winwood used in the Spencer Davis Group many moons ago.

Shaunster, you're a little off with your Ibanez guess. ;)

The bass he's playing in the "I will possess your heart" video is a Harmony H-22 from the 60's.

You can find some more info on these basses here: http://harmony.demont.net/model.php?id=110

Also, the company currently known as Harmony Guitars is making a series of H-22 reissues:
http://harmonyguitars.com/ProductLine.asp?pl=vintage&pid=206D109E02F00FD1293DEEA8DF8E21172D4FFAD85229C461

Hope that helps!

Thanks for the shoutout. I wish I was there, too, but I'm living vicariously through this entry. I can practically see the digicicles dangling in front of me.

Might have to brave the festival crowd at All Points West...
