If I hadn’t been laid off from my job yesterday, I would have bid on this bass:
Can be seen on eBay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=230072656434
It’s a Japanese Violin Bass, which in itself is nothing unique. I’d say the most plentiful hollowbody bass style on the planet a 60’s or 70’s Japanese Beatle Bass. But what makes this one unique is the finish. It’s the ONLY Japanese solid-finished (stock finish - not a refin) violin bass I’ve seen before. Every other one I’ve seen has been either natural/dark wood or sunburst in color. Good luck to the seller and congrats to the high bidder. If you ever want to get rid of it, shoot me an email.
