Customized 60’s/70’s Beatle Bass - eBay Freak of the Week

This week’s entry comes to us from Keizer, Oregon. The seller claims that this is an Epiphone. But it’s not. Probably a Greco, Sekova, Teisco. But not an Epiphone, because an Epiphone viola/vioin/Beatle bass wasn’t made until the 90’s.

Anyways, apparently some guy named Paul Mosby did some custom inlay work on the body and headstock. He also hacked half the headstock off (probably to try to alleviate neck dive) and put on some Schaller tuners. Inlay work looks like a decent job, but it’s a little to fancy for my tastes.

Any fancy boys out there looking for a Beatle bass?
