Hi: I have a Stylist, too and I am looking for a decent replacement couple of pickups. Could please anybody address me toward something good, not too expensive and that is a direct replacement? I mean: the original pickups of the Stylist inside have... six poles!!!!!!! Tks, V.

Brandon,
Sorry it's taken so long to get back to you. Changing jobs, lots of travel, and I'm really lazy. No sound clip, sorry. The T V Jones added a fuller, meatier tone. Still on the low output side like Gretsch pickups. But much larger frequency range compared to the cheap original pickups. It is prone to feedback as many big bodied HB's are. Had to do some routing to make the T V's fit. Pretty easy w/ a Dremel.

Recently purchased a Lakland HB. Plays like a solid body, no feedback issues, but retains HB tone qualities. Also added a cool pickguard. I'll send a pic via email.

I would like to request any info you have on the Gretsch G6072 HB. Looking to get one. Any comments, pro or con, would be great.

As you can tell I'm addicted to hollowbodies.
Great site.

All the best,
dP

Unfortunately, no. I emailed the owner asking for a review of the pickups but I haven't heard back from him.
