Life Happens - Light Posting Lately

I know I have a few regular readers, some of which may be wondering why the posts have been so sparse over the last few weeks.

In early April, my son Caiden was stillborn with only two weeks left until his due date of April 23rd. Since then, I’ve done some posts when I was feeling up to it, but within the last few weeks depression and feelings of guilt for enjoying the things I like to do (one of which is keeping up this site) have kept me away from hollowbodybass.com.

I could go on about my loss, but that’s not the subject of this site. I just wanted to let everyone know that the Hollowbody Bass Archive will remain open, even if the posts are a little further apart for a while. If you’re the praying type, I’d appreciate your prayers as I continue to deal with my son’s death.

Thanks,
Brandon Howell

Hi Brendon,
I’ve just discovered your site and surfed it with a smile, until I read about your loss.
A simular event came over my partner and me about 17 years ago.
Look after eachother and keep your head up. We got another baby about two years later and we already had one before and although it is difficult you will be OK! My thoughts are specialy with you tonight!

Keep up the good work!!!!

Hey,

I’m a keyboard player (a.k.a. frustrated bass player), but I love hollowbody guitars & basses. I know it’s been awhile since this post, but I wanted to let you know how sorry I am for your loss. I have dealt with this twice this year with 2 very good friends of mine, and I know it doesn’t get easier everytime I hear about it. I hope you’re doing better now that some time has passed. Take Care.

Alan
